First International Course

Source: Date:2020/05/20ClickTimes:

In January 2018, the first international course Beer Brewing Process Control began. Mr. Schrammel, an engineer from the Regensburg University of Applied Sciences, and Shen Wenjing from the Sino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing jointly provided the course for students. The course content includes the use of LabVIEW for data collection analysis and beer brewing experiments. Through the study of this course, students will understand the working principle and operation mode of small-scale mechatronics production equipment in modern factories, learn about process control by learning German advanced beer brewing technology, and learn to use engineering software LabVIEW to measure and control the volume, temperature, pressure, time and other variables during the brewing process to obtain the required beer brewing process. At the same time, students are trained to remain rigorous and meticulous in their work attitude and spirit of solidarity and cooperation during the experiment.

The teachers explain to students the principle and use of brewing equipment:

The brewing ingredients are selected strictly in accordance with the GermanPure Beer Law-malt, hops, yeast and water:

Experimental raw materials

Malt crushing

Put the crushed malt into the saccharification tank and take a sample during the saccharification process:

Teach the saccharification process in the laboratory and how to determine the saccharification temperature:

Under the guidance of the teachers, students test the starch content at different stages in the saccharification process:

The sugar content test is performed on the filtered raw wort. A student is responsible for recording the brewing ingredients, process temperature and time:

Demonstration-add yeast and observe fermentation
